Limerick Forest – South Tract is a 5782-hectare community forest located in eastern Ontario, owned and managed by the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville.

Today, the Limerick Forest is a multi-use system of over 180 km of trails.  Trail activities may be restricted by location but both motorized (including dirt bikes, ATV’s and snowmobiles) and non-motorized (including mountain biking, cross country skiing, geocaching, horse-back riding, bird watching, hiking and hunting) use is welcome.

South locations can be accessed off Forsythe Rd. There are 2 parking  areas (44.836325, -75.623093 and 44.851487, -75.624601).

The 3 km Chalet Loop nature trail is a favourite destination for local hikers heading out to the 100 m boardwalk which extends into a large wetland located at the rear of the property.  During the winter months the surrounding trail network is used extensively by cross country skiers.

Limerick Forest offers a wealth of recreational, educational and research opportunities.  The purpose of the interpretive centre is to provide a focal point in the heart of Limerick Forest from which visitors may increase their awareness and knowledge of the environment in an enjoyable and informative setting. This facility and the adjacent interpretive trails, boardwalk and surrounding forest cover provides an excellent “learning by doing” atmosphere for individuals and organizations alike.
