The 32 kilometre (20 mile) trail runs from the east end of Brantford across rolling farmland to the west side of Hamilton. The Hamilton section follows the scenic Dundas Valley for 18 kilometres.
The entire trail is surfaced with stone dust.
The trail follows a section of the old Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo Railway (TH&B) route.
The GRCA owns and maintains the section between Brantford and Jerseyville.
The Hamilton Conservation Authority owns and maintains the section between Jerseyville and Hamilton.
The brochure, Explore the Hamilton-Brantford-Cambridge Trails, includes a map and descriptions of scenic highlights and services along the trail.
Access
- Brantford: Brantford Jaycees Trailhead on Greenwich Street, just north of Mohawk Street, has parking for 20 cars and an information kiosk. A short extension trail leads to Mohawk Park where there are washrooms and a food stand during the summer (Map).
- Brantford: At the end of Beach Road, east of Locks Road (Map).
- Jerseyville: On Jerseyville Road, on the western edge of the village (Map).
- Dundas: Dundas Valley Conservation Area, 650 Governor’s Road, Dundas. This area is operated by the Hamilton Conservation Authority and an admission fee may apply (Map).
