Welcome to the Nature Conservancy of Canada’s Shining Rainbow Deer Nature Sanctuary. This 225 acre property is located within the globally significant Saugeen Bruce Peninsula, an area that is internationally recognized for its rich natural diversity and rare plants and animals. Dogs on leash are allowed. There are several interpretive signs.
As you walk through the Shining Rainbow Deer Nature Sanctuary you will see a variety of natural habitats, including forests, wetlands, and alvars. The sanctuary provides an important movement
corridor for wide ranging mammals, such as American black bear.
