The Municipality of Port Hope is one of Ontario's oldest and most appealing communities, offering a unique country lifestyle with urban amenities - all an hour's drive from the heart of Toronto. We are advantageously located on the shore of Lake Ontario bordering both the north and south side of Highway 401 for a distance of approximately 14 kilometres. With a population of over 16,000 - one of our many valuable resources is our people. According to the 2011 Statistics Canada Census approximately 65% of Port Hope's residents are between the ages of 15 and 64, offering employers a skilled and versatile pool of available labour from which to select current and future employees.
