Today the Beachville is home to the largest open faced quarries in Canada and the Beachville Museum where history is on display year round. Beachville is also becoming a popular destination for birders and nature lovers wanting to hike the Thames River Trail. This flat linear trail is particularly pretty in August as the prairie flowers bloom.  Over the past several years significant work has been done to develop wetland and wildlife habitat along the floodplains. The trail is well signed with information including an explanation of the "two eyes" site.
