Not maintained when we visited July 8th. Pathway was overgrown.
The Municipality has sold part of the Woods, leaving the entrance unmaintained. Various groups are trying to preserve this beautiful place but the Municipality has so far, refused all offers of assistance. Volunteers from local groups have held guided walks and have attempted to clean up the entry path to the Woods. There is unique flora and fauna, including a “notable tree” of Manitoulin – a very old and large yellow birch. Also quite plentiful is the rare Nodding Trillium. It is definitely worth a visit if you can get past the slash left on the entry path.
