The Victory Tract is part of the system of agreement forests owned by the County of Wellington. These forests were planted decades ago on poor, non-productive agricultural land.
An old access road takes you through white pine and white spruce plantations. It’s a linear trail, so make a note of your bearings as you go because you have to come back the same way.
It is bisected by the Provincial Significant Clare Creek wetland area.
Several significant species have been found here. It also serves as a winter deer yard.
Part of this trail crosses private property. Please respect the rights of the landowner.
