Could you please post up a link? I’ve been googling like crazy and all I get is a link to the township’s page that has a brief description, but no coordinates or maps of individual trails. Thanks in advance!
Ilija, Thanks for your post. As you discovered The Township of Madawaska Valley no longer posts trail maps for these trails. Therefore we have nothing to link to. Did, however, ascertain that the trailhead for Gun Mountain Trail leading to Tom’s Lookout is actually located at 374 Long Lake Rd, Barry’s Bay. I am going to contact the Township first of the week do see if I can obtain a trail map which I can post, absent an actual link.
Thank you for the update and your hard work Don!
You really need to but garbage signs and bins on the trails and maintain them. Us cottage owners on Long Lake Road are getting fed up of the amount of disgraced garbage left in the bushes since the trails opened. Nice to have trails but they need to be periodically cleaned too!
Going to lodge a formal complaint to the township if this continues
I must point out that Ontario Nature Trails does not either own or maintain the trails we list. We are only a database of trails in Ontario. Suggest you register your concern with the Township of Madawaska Valley.
