A peaceful and tranquil place to hike, this property is good for appreciation not recreation.
The tiny St Jean Point Nature Preserve contains a good representation of the Great Lakes coastal meadow marsh and rocky shoreline plant communities found on the Bruce Peninsula. Thin soils over dolostone pavement support a woodland dominated by White Cedar. Pale-spiked Lobelia and various sedges and other grass-like plants grow along the shore.
