After parking your car on the east side of Blind Line at Britannia Rd head north on the white blazed main Bruce Trail. After .6 km the River & Ruin Side trail turns right, off the main trail.
The River & Ruin Side Trail passes through a spruce woodlot, past the ruins of an old stone house and alongside huge willow trees close to Bronte Creek. When the creek is in flood it will be necessary to follow the High Water route on the return portion of the Side Trail.
When you reach the main trail, turn left and follow the main trail back to your parked car.

There are only 4 possible parking spots. I tried to go this weekend and everyone else had parking tickets. There is nowhere nearby to park.
Only 4 spots to park which makes it difficult to park.
People leave dogs unleashed against the park laws which is not only dangerous but can be hazardous for people who are scared of dogs. Need more controls.
Have always enjoyed going to the ruins. My grandparents lived there during the depression before moving to Lowville. Sad to see it now. Always enjoy the memories.
Yes, parking is limited.
The trail is well maintained and beautiful to walk
