Forget what you thought you knew about Rattlesnake Point. Beyond the bold-faced cliffs, 12.7 kms of trails awaiting your footprints. Bring along your hiking buddy, family, and even the pooch (on-leash, of course!). Put the phones away and take in the view as a reward of a trail completed. You’ll feel on top of the world.
Rattlesnake Point’s 12 kilometres of trails along with its five spectacular lookouts dotting the edge of towering cliffs make for some of the best combined hiking and scenic viewing available on the Niagara Escarpment. Campsites are available to book year round, as are picnic sites and two pavilions. For the adventurous, Rattlesnake Point has designated areas where experienced rock climbers can scale challenging cliffs and take in the extraordinary countryside vistas. Hiking enthusiasts can also trek through the Nassagaweya Canyon to connect with the Crawford Lake Conservation Area.

I have always enjoyed hiking the trail at Rattlesnake Point. Would go there as a child with my family and recently had an opportunity to hike it again with friends. The views from atop the escarpment are breathtaking. It is an easy trail to walk so is suitable for all types of hikers. If you are lucky you will be able to catch some rock climbers climbing up the escarpment as you are hiking along enjoying nature at it best! I highly recommend the trails at Rattlesnake Point.
