The 33-kilometre section of trail, is part of the Trans-Canada Trail System
The new portion of the trail, a former rail line, connects the existing trail south of Lansdowne St. with the Old Keene Rd. From there, with occasional hops onto roadways, the trail system goes east and north and even south, into Prince Edward County.
