The trail starts at Centre St bridge beside KWH Pipe and runs south and west along the river, under the railway trestle, through Avery Beach Park and onwards towards Highway 11. There is a a 450 ft section of the trail that floats on a boardwalk on Hunters Bay. It is part of the Huntsville section of the Trans Canada Trail.
