The Glen Abbey Trail begins in the east at Montrose Abbey Park where it intersects the Indian Ridge Trail and runs north to Old Abbey Lane Park. From there it continues up the creek valley and curving west to Nottinghill Gate Park where it intersects the Taplow Creek Trail. The Glen Abbey Trail continues westward crossing the McCraney Creek Trail and then reaches the easterly branch of the Fourteen mile Creek. Here the trail splits with the southern branch running down the valley to Indian Ridge Trail, while the north branch can be followed to Glen Abbey Gate. The trail can be further west by crossing Third Line at Merchant’s Gate. Just past Third Line the trail splits with the north branch following the east branch of the Fourteen Mile Creek. The west branch follows Merchant’s Gate to Heritage Way Park and then enters a greenway link to the Fourteen Mile Creek/Parkway Belt Lands.
