Gilbert MacIntyre Trail is located in  Rockwood Conservation Area.

The Rockwood Conservation area is one of the GRCA’s best in terms of diversity in geology, history, flora, and fauna. The 3.5 km Gilbert MacIntyre trail is partly linear and partly looped, and accessible from three parking lots within the park. The trail surface begins with hard packed gravel and turns into hard packed dirt later on. Part of it is also steep and rocky, and there is a boardwalk.
At the beginning of the trail there are the ruins of an old stone woolen mill. The trail gets even better as it passes by limestone cliffs with large rock formations, glacially carved potholes, small caves in the cliffs, a scenic look-out, and access to a beach. The Eramosa River cuts through this area and opens up to the Lower Rockwood Mill Pond within the park.
