deer lake mountain trail trailhead


Only a short drive north, Deer Lake Mountain Trail offers a variety of terrain and spectacular views of No Good and Loftquist Lakes.

Drive 3.5 km north up highway 585 to the trailhead which is on the west side of the highway. Parking is available on either side of the road, and a trailhead sign on the left near the bush marks the start of your journey. This challenging hike can take four hours, so make sure you pack plenty of water and food, and dress for the conditions.

This trail is managed by the Nor’wester Trail Club in affiliation with the Voyageur Trail Association.
