The Clifford Trail system starts at Rotary Park across from the arena and fire hall. Parking and trail use are free. Follow the blue markers. Hikers, bicycles, and mobility-assist vehicles are welcome, but the natural areas are only accessible to hikers, snowshoers and cross country skiers. There are three loops in the trail. The Rotary Park Loop is an easy walk on mowed grass under trees, along a stream and past sport fields. The Regrowth Loop at the end of James Street East has one smooth area for easy walking but the rest is rougher and wetter. The Rail Line Loop is mostly walking on road allowances with the old rail bed finishing off the loop. The Park Street Extension is a rough natural easement which continues on streets.
