The Black Creek Trail is a good example of an urban green space transformed.

The valley has been changed from sterile, groomed parkland into a more natural state of wildness. The north end of the park can be accessed from the visitor parking lot at Black Creek Pioneer Village by heading down the path into the valley. The Park follows the Black Creek through the ravine south to Finch Avenue where it connects with Derrydowns Park.
