Welcome to Lanark County!
The County of Lanark offers a full range of services for its citizens so that they can enjoy a high quality of life. The Public Works Department maintains the infrastructure of roads, bridges and property. Social Services oversee a variety of social programs. With the operation of Lanark Lodge, the County is actively in the business of Long-Term Care. The County level of government is also responsible for Planning Approvals for various land development activities. Ambulance Services and Emergency Services fall within the County’s jurisdiction as well, ensuring public safety needs are met. The Corporation is also developing a plan for County Trails, maintains a network of County Forests and sees Agricultural interests as a vital component of County life. An Accessibility Advisory Committee is working to eliminate barriers within the County.
