Located along the banks of the Thames River, the Nature Trail features over 10 kilometres of pathway, with varied levels of difficulty and accessibility. All ages and skill levels will find enjoyment in the trail system and its fitness and photography opportunities.
The Lions Park and pavilion on the west side of the Thames River offers a quiet, leisurely place to enjoy a picnic or just take a break from driving. In the summer, you can even enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool!
The children will enjoy the playground equipment, and watching the ducks, geese and swans on the river, and our collection of birds, deer and other animals at the Children’s zoo. Lions Park also provides access to the river above the dam, which is an excellent place for fishing, canoeing and kayaking. In the winter, the hill at the Park is popular for tobogganing.
Play a round of golf at the picturesque Mitchell Golf and Country Club, an 18 hole course maintained in peak condition, with a great menu with something for everyone’s tastes.
