Chesley Ontario Trail
Chesley is a Town in the amalgamated community of Arran-Elderslie.
The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie was created on January 1, 1999 with the amalgamation of the townships of Arran and Elderslie, including the Town of Chesley and the Villages of Paisley and Tara.
We encourage all residents and visitors to enjoy the Municipality’s vast number of parks and trails. The Chesley Heritage Trail offers 4km of linear, hard packed surface and follows the beautiful North Saugeen River and the rail line through the Town of Chesley, connecting some of its most important historical sites. Two bridges offer scenic views of the river. The trail is accessible from the Community Centre, Main Street at Riverside Park, Krug Park on 2nd Street Southwest and from 4th Street Southwest.
The Paisley Trail is a 6km linear trail with some hard packed surfaces on dykes and mowed grass. The trail travels though fields and forests to downtown Paisley, passing the historical Hose Tower and Town Hall. The trail crosses the Teeswater River Bridge to the flood control dyke system along the Saugeen River. Parking is available at Dr. Milne Park and Rotary Park.
